Flattering vest pattern August 04 2016

I love the off the shoulder look.  It is very flattering because it is wide at the shoulders and narrow at the hips.  This straight vest is easy to make.  This is great to use as a base for art work because it opens up flat.

Easy to finish the seam.  Press open the seam and then turn under. Top-stitch the seam allowance down and you have a nice finish that is fast and easy!

Look how beautiful and flattering it looks going down the side of the vest!

There is an option to use contrasting fabric for the facing and bring it to the front.

I used my Babylock Sahiko machine to add a top stitch line in a contrasting thread.  Watch the video.
